That day I dreamed I had a "normal" life.  I remember staring out my office window at exactly 5:00 PM on a Friday evening. Happy, smiling people poured outside the building entrance and into the parking structures, ready to embrace their weekend.

I look at my overflowing in bin, and sigh. My eyes settle upon my carefully planned Day Timer as it beckons me to get back to work. I sigh again. There has to be something more to life than work!

"Sooner or later, we all have to find a way to find a good work-life balance." says freelance writer and workplace wellness consultant Mike Martin.

"If not, we find that work takes up so much of our life that there is little time left for anything else. Or, we pay a much greater price in terms of our physical, mental, or emotional well-being."

I couldn't agree more.  I stare at the can of diet coke, and the half eaten Snickers Bar on my desk. I have a headache, my neck hurts, and I wonder why I am working so hard on all this "stuff", because on my death bed I certainly will not be thinking about my work deadlines!

The naked awareness shakes me.  I get up, grab my coat and make a vow from that day forward to make my work my play, and to reclaim my life.

In a recent article MikeMartin shares 3 simple yet practical ways to re-balance your life and your work.  If you are currently feeling like you are all work and no play, these steps will help you to take a step back, rethink, refocus, and refresh.

Read the full article here to discover three simple lessons on work-life balance.

I had the rare opportunity to have tea with my teacher Chetsang Xian Rinposhe. As we sat, sipped tea, and engaged in conversation, I asked him the following question. “Teacher, if you had one success tip to share with the world what would that be?”

True to my beloved teachers character and style he answered me by first sharing the following story:

There is an ancient story about two monks who sought to achieve enlightenment at a well-known monastery.  The first monk, named Druki, did not like to share his knowledge with others, but the second monk, named Chiko, shared his knowledge with everyone who would listen.

Druki  thought, “If I share my knowledge on achieving the path of enlightenment with the others, they will become my competitor in the monastery”. But Chiko thought differently, remembering the Buddha’s teachings that, “To give is to gain”.

Druki was puzzled by Chiko’s actions as he noticed that he spent much of his time answering his fellow monk’s questions about his experience on the path towards enlightenment. Yet never did Druki hear Chiko complain and say, “I am wasting my time answering the questions of my brothers”.

One day, out of curiosity, Druki asked Chiko why he spent the majority of his time sharing his knowledge with the other monks. To which Chiko simply answered by saying, “To give is to gain”.

“What does that mean?” asked Druki.

“It means,” answered Chiko, “that anytime I answer a question, I sharpen my knowledge”.

But Druki did not understand and thought, “How silly. How can he sharpen his knowledge, and what has that to do with the path of enlightenment?”

Not soon after his encounter with Druki, Chiko achieved the state of enlightenment; and he was greatly revered by the other monks for he achieved so much in so little time.  It was only then that Druki understood that; to give knowledge is to gain knowledge.

At the end of the story Xian Rinposhe said this, “As the knife that is constantly sharpened loses its effectiveness, so is knowledge gleaned that is not shared. The greatest success tip of all time then is to share what you know with others.”

Master Xian’s answer had a profound effect on me, causing me to contemplate the value of sharing what you know with others, instead of selfishly hoarding it.  I began to realize that knowledge freely shared is like a Cosmic ripple, evolving not only the consciousness of the teacher but also the student.

There is an ancient proverb that says, “The tribute to learning is teaching.” When you share your knowledge with other people you receive back that knowledge with a deeper understanding of its intrinsic meaning; and this type of clarity is power.

Sharing your knowledge with others increases their experience and wisdom, and that new found wisdom broadens not only the student’s perspective on the subject, but also the teachers perspective as well.

Learning something new increases the student’s joy, enthusiasm, and zest for life.  This excitement and passion is contagious and carries over from the student to the teacher.
Take some time today to find ways you can share what you know with others. Teach a class, write an article, create a blog or podcast. As you share your knowledge and experience with others, you will find that you want to share even more. Sharing your knowledge with others is a way of  ‘paying it forward’.

Everyone has a unique and transferrable form of wisdom to pass onto to others, and freely sharing that wisdom creates a lasting legacy for both teacher and student.  “Share your knowledge with others,” says  His Holiness the Dalai Lama. “It is a way to achieve immortality.”

Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone for the first time and being totally being captivated by their personal magnetism and excitement for life?  These types of people create an instant good impression on you and as a result become memorable.

Being a memorable person means be an unforgettable person.  And it doesn’t take a genius to recognize the advantage of developing an extraordinary pleasing persona in relation to your business and career, as well as with your everyday personal relationships.

The wonderful thing is that is that you can hack the learning curve in developing your personal magnetism and charisma by applying a few overlooked strategies in your everyday personal interactions with everyone you come into contact with.

Cesar Pavese once said said, “We do not remember days, we remember moments.”

How then can you become the type of person that creates memorable moments; a person who is compelling and charismatic?  Here a few useful and effective ways to get you started:

Live with passion!  A memorable person enjoys life and living, and shares that passion in everything he or she does, or says. Their body language, words, and expressions are those of enthusiasm and joy, and that zeal radiates out to everyone they come into contact with.

This type of fervor is contagious, and shifts people’s emotional state to one of positive receptivity.  Modern psychology teaches that the most effective form of influence is learning how to shift and control a person’s emotional state.  The easiest way to do this is to make sure that you lead first with the positive and uplifting emotional state that you would like others to respond to.

Be a great listener.  Being a great listener means genuinely becoming interested in other people.  Years ago, when I was a young attorney attempting to procure clients I did what most newbie business men and women do – I read books and attended courses that would help me to increase my bottom line.  One of the books I read was the classic by Dale Carnegie, “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”  One of the chapters shares this important point of becoming sincerely interested in people. Carnegie states that one of the first ways to do this is by learning to be a great listener.
I decided to put this insightful tip to the test one night as I met a potential client for dinner.  This client was dubbed ‘the geezer grouch’ by some of my colleagues who were unsuccessful in acquiring his business.

Usually I was the one who led and controlled the conversation, but on this particular night I decided to just listen and ask questions. The results I had were absolutely shocking.

My potential client, an older gentleman, was a successful business manufacturer who owned several manufacturing plants throughout the country.  I began our dinner by asking him a simple question – ‘how did you get interested in your type of work?’

Three hours seemed to vanish as this gentleman shared with me a fascinating rag to riches story, gave me some valuable tips on business success, shared with me the titles of some great self-improvement books, and in the end not only did this gentleman become one of my regular clients, but also sent to me several lucrative referrals.  At the end of our dinner he shook my hand and told me, ‘you know you are a great conversationalist’ – yet all I had done throughout our entire meal was to listen and ask him questions!

Share your adventures with others, tell a great story.  People have been telling and listening to stories since the dawn of time. And people love to hear stories that encourage, inspire, and motivate them.  Everyone remembers a great story.

When you share your stories with other people you become memorable because stories keep people engaged in the moment by moment drama.  Professional speaker Patricia Fripp says, “Stories are the creative conversion of life itself, into a more powerful, clearer, more meaningful experience.”  Great stories move, entertain, instruct, and inspire people to increase the quality of their lives.

I have a journal and I enjoy recording things that I encountered during the day that were funny, motivating, inspiring, encouraging, or that have emotionally moved me in some way.  These experiences are either personally observed or personally experienced; but they always have a positive outcome.
Share your great life stories with others. But here is one caveat, people want to hear stories about the fabulous, and if you want to be memorable and to influence others you need to omit stories of failure unless they have a positive outcome.

Being a memorable person means being an influential person.  Groom your personal magnetism and charisma daily by applying these effective strategies in your interpersonal relationships until they become a habit.  You will not only find your sphere of influence increasing each day, but also find that your life is more interesting, personally enriched, and financially prosperous as well.

Before I share with you the simple, yet somewhat shocking truth about how to increase your productivity, take a look at the following questions to see how you fare.

Have you ever spent valuable minutes, hours and perhaps in some cases, even days searching for something you misplaced?

Have you ever argued with a loved one or scolded them for misplacing something of his or hers?

Have you ever missed a important date or an appointment because you forgot?

Have you ever been halfway to your destination and remembered you didn't bring what you needed?

Do you have piles of papers scattered on your desk or around the house, or have a stack of unopened and opened mail that you will get to someday?

Do you have that nagging notion constantly telling you to get organized?

Do you find yourself reading books and/or articles on how to get organized?

Have you purchased organizational tools to help you stay on top of things and then never used them?

If you answered yes to even one of these questions you are most likely not organized to the point you would like to be. I have a very simple solution to this problem. This is a tried and proven method to get you organized and eliminate all that wasted time spent trying to get organized. You can read as many books on the subject of organization as you want, and buy all of the tools, but you only need one thing. Let me share with you a little secret.

If you are serious about increasing your productivity and getting results you must get organized. Here is a little secret that my mother taught me when I was a little girl and it still works form me today – every time!!

PUT EVERYTHING BACK WHERE IT BELONGS.

Organization starts with putting everything in its own designated place. It doesn't mean to dump your stuff in a corner of a room designated for that particular item, but instead having a clean, and uncluttered area in which you can find the things you need in an instant.

It doesn't take a lot of work to get your life organized, but it does take dedicated effort to make it a habit. Here are just a few ideas that can help you become better organized.

Write your appointments and important dates in a designated calendar as soon as you are aware of them. You can also use the calendar application on your cell phone, as well as several online free reminders services, or your email calendar, in order to remind you of upcoming dates and appointments.

Develop a method to quickly and easily navigate through your mail. I often open up my mail in front of my paper shredder. Make three piles of mail in the following category - important, interesting, and trash. If the item is important it will need your immediate attention. Examples of important items are incoming bills, membership dues, and life, health, auto, and home insurances. Interesting items include magazines, and other pieces of mail that you would like to read a bit further. The trash pile is self-explanatory.

Designate an entire day to create "stations" for your stuff. I did this with my craft items and am quite pleased with how fast can find what I need.

Increasing your productivity starts with the habit of consistent organization. If you want to achieve massive results in your life you must learn to be organized. An organized life is not only a peaceful life, but more importantly, it is a successful life.

One of the many reasons why people lose confidence and power in dealing with people is because they are too overly concerned with what other people may think. They feel they won't be liked if they said what was on their mind. What these people really are doing is making up an excuse in order to attempt to avoid conflict; the very conflict that they need to provide the learning experience of inner growth, knowledge and confidence for dealing with people in the first place.

Conflict management, or managing the conflict of ideas and thoughts between two or more people, can be an incredible learning experience for everyone involved, so much information is revealed in these intense periods that if we can learn to keep our integrity in tack during these short bursts of emotion, common ground can be quickly found.

However, if your confidence and power in dealing with people is somewhat watery at best, here are three tips to clarify your thinking and get you back on track.

1. What Do You Want Confidence And Power For?

You interact with different people on a daily basis, and you need cooperation from these people because you know you cannot do it all alone. You also expect a certain amount of reciprocal behavior to get to where you want to be, so it would be beneficial to know what your motives are for persuading people over to your way of thinking?

2. What Is Your Attitude Towards Conflict?

True self-confidence is developed from the act of carrying out a successful task that has an element of personal risk or challenge. Confidence is also about disagreeing or saying no without feeling guilty in situations where you have strong opinions; to stand up for oneself so to speak. So if someone violates your space in some way, do you take the courage or confidence to take responsibility for the situation and speak up or do you just ‘let it go’…again?

3. Preparation Is The Key

One of the key secrets to real confident behavior is preparation, look at the words you are habitually using and prepare your speech in advance. Learn to be speak with authority, maybe even take a few singing lessons to develop vocal power. Develop a mental picture of your successful self, speaking confidently with the desired outcome.

Dealing with people effectively is a skill that can be learned and developed over time, at some point, you will have to get started, you will have go up to someone and say your piece, even if you stand their dumb struck and your face turns crimson with embarrassment, the first step has to be taken. If you feel nervous or shaky about doing this, you need to feel the fear and do it anyway, if its on your mind, the time will come when you will have to act, go in, do it with the expectation you are going to get it all wrong, but it is never as bad as you think it is going to be. One thing is for sure, conflict is a learning experience, you will learn more about confidence in one session than a lifetime of reading books or articles on the subject.

Remember, confidence is an attitude, a skill set that is learned and developed through application, a state of mind that can be achieved through deliberate consistent actions. You might be naturally shy or quiet and think real confidence is beyond you, but personal confidence can be one of your greatest assets. Learn to believe in yourself and your abilities, it is not easy, you will only gain power and the mental toughness needed through struggle, there is no short cut. You will only learn and grow through the challenge of getting started.

Make no mistake, to act with deliberate intention and say what needs to be said will require consistent effort on your part, you must rehearse what needs to be said, like a musician performing a great song, they had to rehearse once upon a time. Great speeches or monologues are not 'winged,' there is always great preparation that is goes unseen, which can give you the misconception of 'they were born that way', when this is in fact, far from the truth.

This morning I had the opportunity to recognize the incredible power of a smile. As I stood in line at the supermarket I had the opportunity to admire a rosy cheeked baby who seemed fixated on my face. I couldn’t help myself - I smiled at him, and he instantly smiled back causing me to feel those familiar, warm, fuzzies in my heart.

Smiles are powerful things, and very contagious. As the other people around me noticed the child smiling his incredible, toothless grin, they began to smile as well, setting off a chain reaction of smiles by passerby’s. The sad truth however is that few people become aware of this simple mood lifter, and even fewer; ever take the time to smile on purpose.

In my own life I believe that I have gleaned a lot of valuable wisdom from being in the trenches of life. I feel privileged and honored as it seems that my life has been enriched with loads of great and memorable experiences even though there were a few difficult circumstances to deal with along the way. As a Transformational Spirituality teacher I have the honor of getting to know and of associating with a lot of really fun and interesting people, and I have been able to enjoy numerous hours of pleasure engaging with them and making fun memories with each of them in the process. I am happily married, I love my children, and I am vibrant and healthy.

Yet, perhaps like you, there are days in my life when I allow myself to become bombarded with negatives and all I want to do is to hide myself away somewhere and have a good cry. It’s on those rare days that I gratefully recollect the wisdom that my dad always gave me as a child. When I was having an off day he would say to me, 'Dar, remember, whatever happens today, don't forget to smile, because nothing is ever as bad as it seems.'

I've found my dad's advice extremely helpful on countless occasions as I encountered some of life's curve balls. I remember one Friday morning when I was ten. I ditched elementary school because I felt as if my life was about to end. My pet rat Rosie died the night before and I felt like I couldn’t face the world. The pain was so great that my ten year old heart thought that I was going to die.

However, I felt better about Rosie's death later that evening after my girlfriend Barbie invited me to spend the night at her house for a pajama party. We watched cartoons, played games, and smiled and laughed as we read elephant jokes to one another. The smiles and laughter eased my broken heart.

I also remember a time when I was in high school and feeling as if my life ceased to have meaning. I was interested in student government, ran for class secretary, and I lost. I felt like a complete failure, and the feeling of rejection literally crushed me inside. Dad told me to keep my head up and to remember to smile, and he assured me that my life would turn out just fine even though I was not nominated.

Smiles are incredibly powerful. Here are some ways you can use the power of a smile in your own life:
  • Practice smiling at yourself. In my present life, having gleaned the secret power behind a smile, I honor myself and my father by facing every day with a smile. No matter what I may be going through, the minute I greet my face in the bathroom mirror I smile at myself. Practicing smiling at yourself will also do wonders for your self-esteem.
  • Look for the humor in life. One of the biggest things that have allowed me to face each day with a giant smile on my face is my pet children. My "kids" help me to keep my sense of humor and my internal laughter meter at 110 percent smiles. Especially my curious cat, T-Bone. My pet kids are always doing hilarious things that keep me laughing throughout the day, causing me to keep a smile on my face no matter how harried my day may be. Look for the humor in your life on a daily basis. Throughout the years I have trained myself to look for what is funny in various situations in my life, and I have found that there are a variety of ways that you can look for the humor in life. As an example, watch funny television shows and movies, go to comedy clubs, or read funny anecdotes and jokes.
  • Smile for no reason at all, and more importantly, smile often. A smile can change your emotional state in an instant! Remember the warm fuzzies I told you about when the baby smiled at me in the market? Medical science has found that smiling activates certain neurotransmitters and hormones such as serotonin, which is often referred to as the "feel good" hormone.
Find reasons to activate the power of a smile in your own life starting today, and remember those words a very wise man shared with me so many years ago - 'whatever happens today, don't forget to smile. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems.'

In this day and age we are so inundated with choice and opportunity that you might even say that we are spoiled for choice. There is just so much that we could do that we often end up not doing anything at all. Procrastination is one of the biggest dream killers. In a world where there is so much demand on your attention it is becoming ever more difficult to stay focused and act on the things that would truly give you an extraordinary quality of life. Time is, was and will always be your most valuable asset and the way you use it will determine what you create or fail to create with and for your life. Having an effective strategy for overcoming procrastination is critical if you truly want to push past short term obstacles to create a life of fulfillment.

The abundance that modern life offers us tends to overwhelm us which leads to an emotional overload that will distract you and scatter your effort and concentration. There simply isn't enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time for the most important things in your life. Success at anything in life, whether it be your finances, your relationships or your body, requires an investment of time and effort from you. You need to focus and concentrate your physical and emotional resources on creating a desired result.

The first step in overcoming procrastination it to get really clear on exactly what you want from every area of your life. This clarity will give you the power to look past distractions that may throw you off course. It gives you a direction and a target and will help to build a mental picture for your life. One of the most destructive effects of procrastination is that it makes you feel out of control; like the events of your life is controlling you. If you don't know what you want it is all too easy to jump from the one task to the next. Apart from knowing what you want you should also develop some strong reasons why you want it. This will give you a sense of purpose and motivation that is critical for staying focused long term.

The truth is that most people know what they need to do to create their life the way they want it. The challenge is not with knowing what to do, but in doing what you know. The only way you will create any result in your life is by taking action and procrastination is what prevents you from acting on the very things you know would give you a greater quality of life. The reason why people procrastinate is primarily because of fear, especially fear of failure. By not taking action and postponing important actions you avoid the potential for failing. The only reason why you procrastinate about anything is because at some level you link more pain to taking action than to not taking action. The ridiculous truth is that these "links" are mostly conjured up (by you) in your mind and they are not even real. When you make a task too big in your mind it will overwhelm you and it would seem too difficult and too big and you will end up procrastinating.

One of the most powerful strategies for overcoming procrastination is to learn how to break your tasks up into bite size pieces. Any task, no matter how big can be broken down into small manageable tasks that is easy to do. If you focus on climbing Mount Everest it will probably put you off immediately, but if you focus on climbing seven small mountain sections it becomes more believable. The power of chunking down your "big" tasks empowers you to take back control of any overwhelming situation – you cut it down to size. Your size.

One of the quickest ways to overcoming procrastination is to learn and utilize the power of immediacy. What can you do immediately? What action can you take right now that will move you closer to your goal? Doing something, no matter how small, will immediately break your mental pattern of procrastination and put you back in control. Taking the first step, even if it is small will create momentum and you will almost automatically be driven to take another step. Don't wait for everything to be perfect before you take the first step. Just do it. Just get it going. Often you will only know what to do next after taking that first step.

There are many strategies and skills you can use for overcoming procrastination. You don not have to be stuck or spinning your wheels. Like any skill you need to learn and practice it until you get good at it. Eventually it will become an automatic response and you will develop the habit of taking action despite your fears and apparent limitations.

Are you a perfectionist? Let me reveal to you this important fact. Perfectionism can hinder you from achieving excellence at anything you do.

Usually, perfectionists are procrastinators. They don't start unless everything is just perfect. They don't even finish a task. They keep on delaying and putting it aside because it is not perfect yet.

Don't ever fall in this trap. The most difficult step is the first. Nothing should be perfect. The most interesting thing is that nothing would ever be perfect.

You must start with whatever resources you have at hand, then improve and grow. You must jump into the field and gain experience that you would never gain if you stay at your place putting perfect plans!

Here is one of my favorite quotes:

"Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better." ~ Pat Riley, Basketball Coach

Strive to do better and you will become excellent at what you do. Stop procrastination and waiting for everything to be perfect.

What gives you the motivation to start and take bold actions is having a clear purpose in life. When you have a true meaning for your life and passion for a big dream, you couldn't wait for things to be perfect. Instead you create your opportunities. The fire of passion drives you.

Having a purpose makes you fundamentally unstoppable. You are motivated to start and strive to become and do better along the way. If you have a purpose that fires your soul you would never sit and wait for circumstances or things around you to become perfect.

You will recognize that life is short and that you have to take action now.

When you live a purpose driven life, and understand that excellence can only be achieved by striving to do better every single day, then you are on the right track to achieve great results and massive success.

A purpose driven life is critical for you to overcome procrastination and perfectionism.

The power of your purpose will motivate you to take immediate actions. Life is short and success is a journey. You can never reach your destination without taking the first step!

Self-sabotaging behaviors prevent you from conditioning yourself for success. Changing your long, established behavior patterns like self-sabotage is as easy as recognizing and understanding where they came from.

How, then, can you eliminate sabotaging beliefs and emotions? First, you must learn to understand and accept yourself before attempting to understand and accept others. You can't give away that which you don't have which means that you are going to need to take a journey within for an honest personal evaluation.

This inner reflection will consist of looking inside yourself and listening to your inner dialog or self-talk about what you think and what you believe - especially in that area that you are consistently sabotaging yourself. Remain open minded to what you see and hear when learning to explore and understand your own beliefs. This is essential part to making constructive changes in your behaviors. Deciding how far and deep you want to go in your introspection is your own decision. However, when you take the time to do some real soul searching, it has the ability to take your life to a new level when you discover empowering insights to help you to eliminate your damaging self-talk and undermining behaviors.

Making a decision to let go of self-sabotaging behaviors that prevent you from the changes required for attaining success and mastery in those areas of your life that is important to you, takes a great deal of courage, fortitude, and a personal commitment to develop more effective actions. You can't change the beliefs and behavior of others, you do have the power to change what you believe, and how you want to act or react in certain situations. Your greatest power in life is your ability to choose how you want to think, feel, act and react in any given situation. When you take full responsibility of your power you develop a more optimistic attitude and passively equipped to eliminate self-sabotaging behavior patterns.

So what some specific actions can you take now in order to become aware of, and to overcome your sabotaging beliefs and self-defeating emotions?

1. Recognize that you are the master of your life. You, and you alone, are 100% responsible for the decisions and choices you make in life.  Stay true to what it is that you want to be and achieve and politely decline the good opinions of others who want to tell you how you should live your life.

2. Monitor your internal self-talk. Watch for the disempowering chatter that comes up such as, "I can't" or "I won't", and consciously reframe it to "I can," and "I will" on a consistent basis. Pay conscious attention to the emotional changes going on within you as the negative babble rises to the surface, and be prepared to physically describe your changes and write them down. As yourself the following questions: "If I where to know where these negative feelings that ( 'I can't', or 'I don't deserve it', 'I am not good enough') came from it would be . . . ? Is it really true that ( 'I can't', or 'I don't deserve it', 'I am not good enough') or is it just my current perception? Write down what comes up for you. Awareness of where these negative feelings first originated from is 80% of the battle of ridding yourself of self-sabotaging patterns and behaviors.

3. Cultivate positive emotions such as joy, passion, excitement, and happiness. When you do this your are planting the seeds that will produce positive and empowering beliefs and actions. Ask yourself, "Are my actions linked to pleasure-producing situations or to pain-producing situations?" Take actions that will give you the most amount of pleasure and not grief.

Knowing where your self-sabotaging behaviors and beliefs originated from in the first place, making a conscious effort to monitor and retrain your internal self-talk, and a consistent effort to develop positive and more productive emotions will help you to overcome self-sabotaging patterns in no time. As a result you will caused procrastination and fear to bow humbly to a life to massive success and achievement of your heart felt dreams.

As one of my spiritual teachers and mentors, Wayne Dyer has continued to be a rich source of inspiration and knowledge to me. The following are some thought provoking and wisdom packed notes for you to learn and enjoy.

10 principles for living a more powerful and enriching life:

1) Have a mind which is open and attached to nothing
- There are no boundaries.
- Put your thoughts on what you want. If your thoughts are on what others think of you, you will become that.
- Never focus on the problem more than a few moments.
- Focus and put your thoughts off of what is and put on what you intend to manifest.
- Look at what you believe is impossible and rewrite your agreement with reality and make it possible for you.
- Live your life detached from outcome. I am not motivated by the outcome. I am not motivated by other people's approval.

2) Don't die with your music still in you - You come into the world with nothing and you leave the world with nothing, you cannot have anything. The only thing you can do with your life is give it away, serve others.
- Meditate of earth without you on it and you will see what you want to do while you are alive.
- Move into the direction of serving. Your job is not to say how? but say 'YES'.

3) You can't give away what you don't have- Love yourself to give away love.
- Energy comes in low and high and moves fast and slow. Everything is energy. There are no and vibrating at a frequency. Meditation slows down thought and raises your frequency.problems, there is only energy moving. Low energy thoughts weaken us. Spiritual energy is the fastest energy in the universe. All problems show up in the world of solid (slow energy). If we bring spiritual energy (fast energy) the problem is solved. Bring higher and faster energy in presence of slower and lower energy.
- Appreciate rather than depreciate, moves you into synchronicity with Energy of love, cheerfulness, kindness, peace( higher energy), when this energy is brought into your problems then problems cannot survive.
- You are energy which is moving
-The problem with force is it creates counter force. If you react to these lower energies you create a magnified lower field, instead of reacting, act with higher energy.
- If you die while you are alive (detach yourself from what people think), you enter into the world of spirit. And bring that higher energy in this world.

4) Embrace silence- Sound is made by silence between the notes. Meditate everyday and put your attention and energy to what you intend to manifest with passion and then surrender and let go.
- Surface of the pond has disturbance but deep below the pond there is calmness. Same with your mind it is full of chatter reduce the thoughts by meditation.
- Whatever it is you want to create it is out of the void. You can never divide the silence. Creation happens with the gap between thoughts.

5) Give up your personal history- Is it possible for the wake to drive the boat? No. Thus is also true for your life. The boat is driven in the present moment by the motor. Thank for all the past falls and struggles. Your life is going the way it is because of the choices you have made.
- Build yourself to be free from what somebody will say or think or use against you. Friends, relatives, parents, peers, girls, co-workers.
- Self-reliance...learn to rely on yourself, and get things done by yourself.
- Do not spend your time thinking about your past or facts of your life.
- Don't bond to your wounds or stick to your labels.
- Live in now free with love of god.
- Don't be bonded to the past. Do not use it to get attention to yourself. Its about letting it all go. I can never fail at anything.

Motivational author Robert Collier once wrote, "Your chances of success in any undertaking can always be measure by your belief in yourself." To succeed in any endeavor of life you must learn to be confident in yourself and in your ability to succeed.

Here are 3 simple steps that you can use starting today for supercharged confidence in your ability to receive the best out of life.

1. Talk positively to yourself all the time. Become your own best friend and supporter. Encourage yourself to do more. Congratulate yourself on every small or large victory. Remember that very few people are successful the first time they try to do something. You didn't ride a bike the first time you tried.

Thomas Edison didn't invent the light bulb on his first attempt either. It took him more than 10,000 attempts before he made the first successful light bulb and it only lasted a few minutes. The biggest thing to remember is that you are never defeated in doing anything you want to do until you quit.

Donald Trump, during a recent interview, stated that he was richer than most people because he failed more times than most. However, in his case, he learned from his mistakes and tried again. Why? Because he was confident that he could do what he wanted to do if he just continued trying.

You are no different from Donald Trump. Do what he did. Just keep trying until you succeed. When you do, your self confidence will soar and you will realize that you can do anything you want to as long as you continue trying.

2. Another technique is to study and watch other people. When you see someone that stands upright and moves with a sense of purpose watch to see if they give you the impression that they have a lot of confidence. If they do, duplicate the physical characteristics of these confident people and you will start to gain the confidence they display.

3. The most important thing that you must ensure that you do is to not do listen to people who talk down to you or try to tell you that you cannot do something. Usually these people can't do these things themselves, so they try to convince others that they can't do them either. If something like this keeps happening to you, tune these people out and stop associating with them. Your inner confidence needs to be liberated from this constant barrage of negative thoughts and statements from the dream stealers around you. Your limitations are in your mind, not in your reality.

Here are a few more tips you can use for everyday practice:  If you want to develop and build confidence, associate with positive uplifting people. Positive and uplifting people around you inspire you and will help you build self-confidence. If you want to build up your confidence, do something new every day. Stimulate your mind by experiencing new things on a regular basis.

Each of these small acts will add to your confidence by causing you to break out of your comfort zone, and will also make your life more enjoyable.

The most sacred thing in life is self-confidence because it is the secret of all miracles. When you have confidence in yourself, you arouse everything that is stronger, greater and superior in you. In consequence, the more confidence you have in yourself, the more you will attain and accomplish.

A person who knows the power of self-confidence walks a path of inner growth and achievement. With self confidence a person of mediocre ability can achieve more in life than those with exceptional talents and little self confidence. Supercharge your confidence today!

I love the quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Actually grasping this concept alone will be your most valuable asset on your journey to confidence, and remember - jump starting your self confidence is a journey not a destination.

Women in modern society face greater challenges especially in the corporate work environment. Therefore confidence is key when it comes to success and reaching your goals. Also, you will find that if you build confidence in one area of your life suddenly you begin to become more confident in other areas.

When developing confidence, the one thing that is important to remember is that you weren't born confident. We have all had life experiences when we felt less than enough, pushed down, and/or have gone through some amazingly difficult circumstances that have ultimately shaped and influenced our confidence levels.

So what does this mean?  Confidence is a learned trait; which means that you are going to have to make a deliberate effort to develop it, but it will be well worth it.

Here are some great tips on how to increase your confidence:

1. Set goals you know you can reach. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day.

2. Allow yourself to fail without it depleting your value and self worth. First of all, take the approach that we learn from our mistakes. Some of my best education has come for the school of hard knocks. I recently read a statistic that said the best baseball player hits around .350 - which means he misses 65 percent of the time.

3. Acknowledge yourself. Focusing on your positive qualities. Remember no one is perfect even if they think they are! In doing this it will be important to tune out the mindless head chatter. We are often our own worst enemy when it comes to squashing our self confidence.

4. Acknowledge qualities you would like to improve. Remember, like in all the "group therapy" meetings we hear about the first step is to acknowledge the problem.

5. Once problems areas are identified, seek assistance in resolving them. Don't go at this alone. I think so many people are ashamed to get help that they suffer in silence. I would much rather drop my pride and get help and live a fruitful life than to attempt to fake it. Remember, faking self confidence won't last. If you are anxious about seeking help, do so with someone that doesn't know you personally and ensures your privacy. If you need professional assistance but finances are an issue, many church organizations or organizations on the internet offer assistance for free.

6. Celebrate your successes. Yes, we all have them. Focus on your talents and give yourself permission to be proud of yourself. Remember the inferiority quote, "no one makes you feel inferior without your permission"?

7. Be thankful and be positive. I've heard it said that a lack of self confidence can be due to a feeling of not having enough of something. Things will come and go in our lives, so who we are cannot be based on what we have materially. Being thankful and recognizing what you do have will help to fight the feeling of insecurity and inadequacy, but try to focus on non-material things such as relationships, health, your humor or wisdom, or your ability to remain calm under crazy circumstances. Also, avoid self-pity. Again I say, remember the quote, "no one makes you feel inferior without your permission"!

8. Get a hobby that is enjoyable to you and allows you to express yourself. Things such as music, art, writing, or even volunteering are great examples. It doesn't have to be something you think you will be good at. Let it be something that is purely for enjoyment and you'll be amazed at how good at it you actually are!

9. Stick with your principles. By maintaining an identity that is consistent you will find that people will become more respectful of you, increasing your confidence. When ever you waver back and forth on issues it gives people the sense you are wishy-washy and perhaps not as trustworthy. This can strain relationships making your confidence level decrease.

10. Also, it should go without saying but stick up for yourself! I once heard someone say that you have to teach people how to treat you. If you let them put you down many will. Don't let them decrease your confidence even in a joking manner.

11. Smile - even if you don't feel like it. Many of you know that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile so go ahead and smile. Besides, studies have shown that an expression on your face can actually persuade your brain to register that emotion. Think: I am gorgeous! Then look in the mirror and smile.

12. Of course everyone’s favorite - get plenty of sleep, eat well, exercise regularly, and stop stressing. I put these all together because they seem to end up together in most self-help mantras these days. And as many of you can relate they are easier said then done. Remember the first thing - set attainable goals? That is a must for this action item.

13. Try to spend time surrounded by people that lift you up. There is a belief that you become like those you send your time with. If you are constantly hanging around negative people then you are likely to become the same. I was once encouraged to take a cell phone challenge and delete everyone from my phone that was negative or created feelings of negatively in me when we spoke. This is a bit extreme for some of you but has been known to work. Also, know that surrounding yourself with positive people will likely lead to compliments, something many of us aren't comfortable accepting due to low confidence levels. Accept them and don't make excuses as to why their compliment isn't really correct!

14. Take action! You would be surprised how powerful this one strategy is. By setting attainable goals and taking baby steps, taking action can be easy. The awesome thing is it tends to have a snowball effect.

Now you are on your way to building your confidence level.  Remember, self confidence won't happen overnight so be patient with yourself. A confident woman is a sexy woman.  The more you practice these techniques, the easier it is to maintain the confidence once established. And the more confident you become, the more successful, capable, charismatic, and prosperous you will be.

Action is often the missing key in the Law of Attraction. There is a big difference between thought and action. Says Wallace Wattles, “Thought is the creative power, or the impelling force which causes the creative power to act . . . but you must not rely upon thought alone paying no attention to personal action.”

This is where many people get stuck in trying to apply the formula of the Law of Attraction in life. I love the following wise saying about action, ‘A rocking chair rocks back and forth but goes nowhere.’

The same theory applies in the Law of Attraction. You can say all the affirmations you want, and you can have absolute faith that you are going to achieve everything that’s on your vision board, but unless you take some measurable actions steps you are not going to achieve anything because there is no attraction without action.

Perhaps like me you were taught the old model of the Law of Attraction that stated: ASK – BELIEVE – RECEIVE.

The new model is this: ASK – BELIEVE - ACT- RECEIVE.

How then do you know if you are taking efficient action towards your goals and dreams? Here is some wise advise from personal development great Anthony Robbins:

The truth of the matter is that there's nothing you can't accomplish if:
(1) You clearly decide what it is that you're absolutely committed to achieving,
(2) You're willing to take massive action, (3) You notice what's working or not, and (4) You continue to change your approach until you achieve what you want, using whatever life gives you along the way." ~ Anthony Robbins

There is no attraction without action. Take action on your goals and dreams today so that you can reap in the rich rewards of an abundant and prosperous life.

'Same ole, same ole'. The same ole sun, the same ole sky, the same ole home, and the same ole routine. Many of find that life is boring. Every day seems the same.

What about you? How do you carry on from day to day? Perhaps like me you have even wondered, why is it that a week doesn't have seven Sundays? Or perhaps you find yourself saying - 'I want to enjoy life. I am getting bored with a schedule that never changes. There is no excitement in my life.'

I bet that if you ask few friends about their life and they will say something similar. Why is it that life is becoming a bore for them and how can they make it exciting?

Can one escape work? Well, I guess you can, but no sensible person can escape it forever. Can a parent stop caring for his/her children? No. Can an executive stop making decisions? No.

Then how can you make life exciting? There must be some way. Well, yes, and I am glad you have asked - there is a way and it is very simple.

Just look out of your window and watch the sky. Do you observe any clouds? Look at them. Look at the different shapes? Who made them? From where did they arrive and where will they go? Look at some flowers in your home. Observe their symmetry. Touch and feel the softness. How lovely! We are surrounded by treasures, but we have no time to look at them. A child's smile can make today a different day than any other day. Try to make a child smile and feel the joy.

Look at the night sky. Observe the stars and think about the distances. Some are so far away that it takes light, hundreds of years to reach us. How many millions of years you will take to walk and reach them? What is beyond them? Observe, think and get excited. Life need never be dull for any of us.

Here is another example. While sitting at your table, have you ever wondered about the wood that was used to make it? Have you thought about the life of the tree? A small seed grew into a gigantic tree.

I find that very exciting. What about the tar on the road? It comes from deep inside the earth, goes to refineries and is then laid on the roads.

How deep must the oil well have been?  How did they locate the oil and what will happen after we finish all the oil?

The world you and I live in is full of objects that can make us think and wonder. It is our attitude that makes our life. If we adopt a child-like attitude towards things, we will bring joy back in life. I am not asking you to give up your work to enjoy life but to just pay attention.

Find time during the day to look at things and wonder. Bring joy back in your life. You can begin right now. Look at your screen. What happens to the text after you shut down your computer? Where does everything go when you close the browser? Life is full of excitement - live it!

Have you ever had one of those days when you woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Perhaps you even tried to get yourself in a better emotional state, but your cranky mood seemed to stick on your shoe like gum on a hot summers day.

At times when you are not feeling your best it is easy to get caught up in your own emotional down spirals and forget how it easy it is to reboot your inner self to feel happier and more optimistic about life. Here are five simple reminders to lift your mood and your spirit, and to help you to feel happier and to get more enjoyment out of your life.

1. Take a walk.
Short daily walks are not only a great way to exercise, but they are also great for the soul. Walking aligns the posture and allows the energy to flow through your spinal cord up to your brain. This can directly affect your mood for the better. Walking out doors also calms the mind and spirit by reacquainting you with the beauty of nature. If you are feeling out of sorts go out for a short stroll.

2. Listen to uplifting music.
This is one of my favorite ways to lift my mood. Uplifting and inspiring Music has the ability to shift your emotional state within seconds. Music is also a great way to motivate yourself out of a slump. Listen to inspiring motion picture soundtracks such as the theme to Chariots of Fire, Superman, or the The Lord of the Rings. There are hundreds of songs and soundtracks that you can choose from and use to instantly hack your mood for the better.

3. Read something inspiring.
Read something that inspires and encourages you. There are several great books, magazines, and online blogs that can help to not only lift your mood, but also educate you by giving you new perspectives and new ways in dealing with life's challenges.

4. Laugh.
Laughter is a sure way to positively lift your emotional state. Look around you for things that are humorous, or watch a comedy show (my favorite are I Love Lucy reruns). Laughter stimulates the the body's secretions of endorphins. Endorphins are often called the happy hormone. They are produced by the pituitary glands and act like opiates to reduce pain and bring about a feeling of euphoria and well-being.

5. Breathing meditation.
Rhythmic breathing creates mental and physical relaxation, and well as quiets and nurtures the spirit. Using the breath as a way to meditate is a simple exercise that you can do anywhere. Sit or lie comfortably with your spine straight, close your eyes and breath in deeply and slowly allowing air to fill your lower abdomen. Notice the flow of air as it enters and exits your nostrils. If a distracted thought comes, just let it go and continue to focus on your breath. Perform this meditation for 5 to 10 minutes and notice how much more centered, and alive you feel afterward.

Each of these five tips are simple and can be easily to performed any where. When you are feeling out of sorts, and emotionally less than your best take the time to apply one or more of these five tips to help you to feel happier, more emotionally centered, and inspired to get more enjoyment out of life.

In my experience I have found that many people procrastinate and/or don't carry through at all because they believe that they need to be motivatied to do a thing first in order for them to forge forward. This is the number one common misunderstanding in the science of success and achievement.

In my own life, I used to think that once I received the motivation to get started that I would do it then. One day I realized that this errant attitude caused me to miss out on a lot of wonderful things in life due to inaction. On this particular day a good friend called me to tell me that she had just finished her book manuscript and was in the process of finding an agent. I was happy for her, but as I hung up the telephone I also felt crushed. One of my projects at the time was also a book, but I had yet to sit down and write it. This is when I was introduced to the concept of Action, Ideas, Motivation, or A.I.M. for short.

The Motivation Cycle

This thought occurred to me "If I only work on this book project while I feel like it will take me forever".  This thought shocked me and that nearly ended my book writing project. Without the stimulating 'high' of motivation the task seemed to enormous for me to tackle. Give up! Give up! Pestered the little voice in my head. I think it is human nature to subconsciously take the easy route, to do the more pleasurable things in life and leave the difficult things to last or just hope they go away. I was torn between wanting to complete the book I had persevered with for so long and quitting all together so I could accomplish something easier.

I suppose my motivation cycle like most others would go from high to low. The high producing a burst of frantic effort and activity followed by a burn out where you are physically, mentally and creatively drained. I found this took a long time to recover from and it had a demotivating effect. The problem was the time when I was not motivated; I was not motivated a lot longer than I was motivated. Stoking up the motivation to write and continue pushing your brain to work after a hard days graft 'at the day job' is very difficult.

Just doing the time filling, wasteful things like watching TV takes its place all to easy.

Several months quickly passed me by, and my mind continued to troubled me about not continuing with the book and then . . .

A Eureka moment came at 4 o'clock one morning when I awoke with a moment of clarity that often follows a good night sleep when the mind does that marvelous peculiarity of unraveling and sorting the problems and discourse of the day.

The real issue was not how to get motivated more. It was what to do when I was not motivated. The question was how can I to motivate myself to work at something for an hour or two following a hard days work?  The answer was simple DON'T!  Don't wait for the motivation, just take some action every day whether you feel like it or not. The action to take is 'do the next task' and don't try to eat elephants whole! Split the project into smaller, bite sized, more manageable and less daunting chunks.

The Habit of Taking Action

In practice I found to my delight reduced periods of energy sapping high motivation and the inevitable unmotivated down time that followed. It was replaced with a steady state where you are achieving on a regular basis, motivated or not.

To start with, it will take will power and effort, but if you persevere and keep doing it, it will embed in your subconscious and become habitual. You will be able to carry out the task with hardly a conscious thought.

My preference was to come in from the day job, get a drink (green tea!) and then just do the next task, which could be research, writing up, editing, whatever useful task needed to be done (sharpening pencils does not count as a task!!!). Doing your scheduled tasks at the same time of day everyday trains your mind and body to anticipate what is going to happen next and become habit forming.

Once I had acquired this habit of taking action the new pages to the book started to accumulate along with new ideas and inspiration. Seeing the book starting to take shape after so long then motivated me to do more and help reinforce the habit of taking action.

If you want to achieve something just do the next task.  Ideas and motivation do not just happen you need to AIM for them by applying the concept of Action, Ideas, and Motivation in your daily life.

A survey (by the University of Chicago) suggested that those who relish challenge are more likely to live up to 10 years longer than those who spend their lives inhibited by timidity.

Trying to realize our ambitions, even if we don't always meet them, is preferable to not having the courage or motivation to take the risk. So not making any resolutions because we fear that we'll break them is having a defeatist attitude, as we allow procrastination to become an insidious habit which stops us from leading more fulfilling lives.

The following offers 10 ways to kick the procrastination habit:

1. Personal values development.

Take the time to find out what you really want in life, what your personal values are. Do you want more time, more money, better health, greater self esteem and confidence, more fulfilling relationships, a different career, set up a business? When we procrastinate it's often because what we are planning to do is not really aligned with what we truly want. We may be scared of our skills (or perceived lack of) or fear ridicule from others.

2. Make health and high energy levels a priority.
Without good health we are less likely to have the energy and dynamism needed to make positive changes in our lives and it's easier (and necessary if you're very ill) to procrastinate. So ensure that you have a nourishing diet, sleep well, exercise and meditate. Incidentally, it is thought that regular meditation helps delay the worst effects of the aging process.

3. Visualize your life without procrastination.
See and feel the benefits in your life if you didn't procrastinate. What could you do and achieve? Begin to act as if you're not a procrastinator. Write down, draw, imagine your life as a film. Use affirmations to help you.

4. Banish the Gremlin.
That little voice which runs on auto in your head - that dismisses any idea that you might have. It says things like "I'm not in the mood" "I don't have time" "I can't do this". Stop running on auto, replace the "should's" "oughts" "have tos" with "want to" "desire". You have a choice. Acknowledge your choices and banish the Gremlin. Again, using affirmations can help you replace the Gremlin with more positive alternatives.

5. Over commitment.
Saying "yes" to everything - often leaves you feeling tired and without the energy to focus on what is most important to you. This leads to procrastination as projects and tasks are dropped. Identify what is most important to you and only focus on those areas which will make the biggest difference to your life. It will enhance your focus and motivation.

6. Set personal and professional goals.
It's hard to motivate yourself when you don't have a good idea of what you want to accomplish. So when setting goals think about what you want to achieve in the short term and long term. Techniques for doing so include the SMART strategy. S = specific M = measurable A= Action R = Realistic T = Time based. Use goal setting software to help you in goal planning and setting.

7. Prioritize Your Goals.
Develop a plan or schedule to help you reach your goals. In doing so you will begin to identify whether some elements need to be included or enhanced or dropped completely. Also remember to be flexible, revisit your goals regularly and modify or drop if appropriate. Just because a goal is written down doesn't mean that it is set in stone!

8. Divide and conquer.
Once you've prioritized your goals, divide them into smaller chunks. Sometimes we procrastinate because a project seems really large that the scale of it overwhelms us and puts us into a temporary form of paralysis - you don't know where to start, so you don't start at all! Approach each project - especially large ones - on a step by step basis.

9. Reward yourself.
Once you start to complete tasks, reward yourself by giving yourself something that you want. So instead of seeing a film before you complete a task, see it afterward and make it a reward for you.

10. Just get started.
No excuses. Don't wait until you're "in the mood". The mood never comes! It is a clever camouflage and a delaying tactic. What you resist persists! Start with what is easiest, so that you experience immediate success, which will give you the fuel and motivation to upgrade and take on larger projects.

Do any of the above and you'll be well on your way to Kicking the Procrastination Habit. And if you're procrastinating over doing any of the above, then remember that life is the biggest deadline of all!
