Your thoughts have the power to create or to destroy. The outer conditions in your life are a result of your most dominate thoughts.

Here is part 2 of The Creative Power of Thought, excerpted from the New Thought Classic book, The Dore Lectures on Mental Science, by Thomas Troward:

The Creative Power of Thought, Part 2.

Now we can go a step further and see how this power in ourselves can be perpetuated and intensified. By the nature of the creative process your mind is itself a thought of the Parent Mind; so, as long as this thought of the Universal Mind subsists, you will subsist, for you are it. But so long as you think this thought it continues to subsist, and necessarily remains present in the Divine Mind, thus fulfilling the logical conditions required for the perpetuation of the individual life. A poor analogy of the process may be found in a self-influencing dynamo where the magnetism generates the current and the current intensifies the magnetism with the result of producing a still stronger current until the limit of saturation is reached; only in the substantive infinitude of the Universal Mind and the potential infinitude of the Individual Mind there is no limit of saturation. Or we may compare the interaction of the two minds to two mirrors, a great and a small one, opposite each other, with the word "Life" engraved on the large one. Then, by the law of reflection, the word "Life" will also appear on the image of the smaller mirror reflected in the greater. Of course these are only very imperfect analogies; but if you car once grasp the idea of your own individuality as a thought in the Divine Mind which is able to perpetuate itself by thinking of itself as the thought which it is, you have got at the root of the whole matter, and by the same process you will not only perpetuate your life but will also expand it.

When we realize this on the one hand, and on the other that all external conditions, including the body, are produced by thought, we find ourselves standing between two infinites, the infinite of Mind and the infinite of Substance—from both of which we can draw what we will, and mould specific conditions out of the Universal Substance by the Creative Power which we draw in from the Universal Mind. But we must recollect that this is not by the force of personal will upon the substance, which is an error that will land us in all sorts of inversion, but by realizing our mind as a channel through which the Universal Mind operates upon substances in a particular way, according to the mode of thought which we are seeking to embody. If, then, our thought is habitually concentrated upon principles rather than on particular things, realizing that principles are nothing else than the Divine Mind in operation, we shall find that they will necessarily germinate to produce their own expression in corresponding facts, thus verifying the words of the Great Teacher, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."

But we must never lose sight of the reason for the creative power of our thought, that it is because our mind is itself a thought of the Divine Mind, and that consequently our increase in livingness and creative power must be in exact proportion to our perception of our relation to the Parent Mind. In such considerations as these is to be found the philosophical basis of the Bible doctrine of "Sonship," with its culmination in the conception of the Christ. These are not mere fancies but the expression of strictly scientific principles, in their application to the deepest problems of the individual life; and their basis is that each one's world, whether in or out of the flesh, must necessarily be created by his own consciousness, and, in its turn, his mode of consciousness will necessarily take its colour front his conception of his relation to the Divine Mind—to the exclusion of light and colour, if he realizes no Divine Mind, and to their building up into forms of beauty in proportion as he realizes his identity of being with that All-Originating Spirit which is Light, Love, and Beauty in itself. Thus the great creative work of Thought in each of us is to make us consciously "sons and daughters of the Almighty," realizing that by our divine origin we can never be really separated from the Parent Mind which is continually seeking expression through us, and that any apparent separation is due to our own misconception of the true nature of the inherent relation between the Universal and the Individual. This is the lesson which the Great Teacher has so luminously out before us in the parable of the Prodigal Son.

The power of your mind to create and direct your thoughts is a magnificent gift. Through the popularization of the Law of Attraction more people are paying greater attention to what they are thinking and manifesting in their lives.

In the New Thought Classic book, The Dore Lectures on Mental Science, by Thomas Troward, you are given an insightful glimpse on the creative power of thought, what it is, and how you can use it.

The Creative Power of Thought, Part 1.

One of the great axioms in the new order of ideas, of which I have spoken, is that our Thought possesses creative power, and since the whole superstructure depends on this foundation, it is well to examine it carefully. Now the starting point is to see that Thought, or purely mental action, is the only possible source from which the existing creation could ever have come into manifestation at all, and it is on this account that in the preceding addresses I have laid stress on the origin of the cosmos. It is therefore not necessary to go over this ground again, and we will start this morning's enquiry on the assumption that every manifestation is in essence the expression of a Divine Thought. This being so, our own mind is the expression of a Divine Thought. The Divine Thought has produced something which itself is capable of thinking; but the question is whether its thinking has the same creative quality as that of the Parent Mind.

Now by the very hypothesis of the case the whole Creative Process consists in the continual pressing so forward of the Universal Spirit for expression through the individual and particular, and Spirit in its different modes is therefore the Life and Substance of the universe. Hence it follows that if there is to be an expression of thinking power it can only be by expressing the same thinking power which subsists latent in the Originating Spirit. If it were less than this it would only be some sort of mechanism and would not be thinking power, so that to be thinking power at all it must be identical in kind with that of the Originating Spirit. It is for this reason that man is said to be created in the image and likeness of God; and if we realize that it is impossible for him to be otherwise, we shall find a firm foundation from which to draw many important deductions.

But if our thought possesses this creative power, why are we hampered by adverse conditions? The answer is, because hitherto we have used our power invertedly. We have taken the starting point of our thought from external facts and consequently created a repetition of facts of a similar nature, and so long as we do this we must needs go on perpetuating the old circle of limitation. And, owing to the sensitiveness of the subconscious mind to suggestion—(See Edinburgh Lectures, chapter V.)—we are subject to a very powerful negative influence from those who are unacquainted with affirmative principles, and thus race-beliefs and the thought-currents of our more immediate environment tend to consolidate our own inverted thinking. It is therefore not surprising that the creative power of our thought, thus used in a wrong direction, has produced the limitations of which we complain. The remedy, then, is by reversing our method of thinking, and instead of taking external facts as our starting point, taking the inherent nature of mental power as our starting point. We have already gained two great steps in this direction, first by seeing that the whole manifested cosmos could have had its origin nowhere but in mental power, and secondly by realizing that our own mental power must be the same in kind with that of the Originating Mind.

Recently I had the opportunity to give a class on The Law of Attraction and how to use it to attract the right relationships into your life. I received some incredbile insight during the Q&A section of the class that I feel would be important to share with those who are interested in learning how to attract your ideal partner in your life through the Law of Attraction.

The following are some of the questions I am asked by some people about their relationships or lack of them. The answers to these questions can help you to better understand the Law of Attraction in terms of helping you to find your ideal mate.

Q. What kind of complaints do you most often hear about finding your ideal partner?

What I most often hear is that attracting their ideal mate is that it is a hard thing to do. I repeatedly hear things like there are no good men or women left, or that people keep attracting less than desirable dates.

However, halfway through the class these people get their "Ahh-Hah!" breakthrough moment! They learn that not getting their ideal relationship or partner has nothing to do with the availability of the 'good' ones, but that it is all about the vibrations they've been sending out.

Q. What is missing from the traditional matchmaking and online dating services?

These services are mostly concerned with what physical attributes you are most attracted to: tall, dark, handsome, busty, pretty, slender etc. However, the Law of Attraction matches people by their vibrations. An ideal dating service would be one that helped people to attract their perfect match by helping them to first begin within themselves. In other words, whatever vibration a person would want their ideal mate to have, they would first begin by creating that vibration first within themselves so that Law of Attraction can match it!

Q. Can you give any suggestions on how single people can their ideal partner?

The most ironic thing is that knowing what you didn't like about a past partner or a past date is very very useful information. You can use what you've experienced to help you get crystal clear about the kind of mate you do want. For example, if you don't want someone who works too much what is it that you do you want? If you don't want someone who is not the boring type what do you want? If you don't want someone who is not interested in dancing, or who is not romantic, or not a good listener etc., whatis it that you do you want?

Knowing what it is that you don't want will help you 'birth' more clarity about what you do want and this clarity becomes your new and specific desire! It also feels fantastic when you when you get clear about what it is you want. This new clarity has now become your heartfelt desire which is the first step to manifesting your ideal mate. I

Q. What's is happening if your desire for a ideal partner is not manifesting?

The first thing you need to know is that you're not offering a pure vibration of the way you want it to be. As a result the Law of Attraction cannot respond to it. In other words, you are saying that you want this certain type of person but you are sending out vibrations contrary to your desire. One way to check what vibrations you are offering is to observe what you are currently receiving in your life. It's always a perfect match to whatever you are offering vibrationally.

The second thing you need to realize is that most people tend to be scorekeepers and they tend to keep score about what isn't happening instead of what is. When you do that you are focusing on what isn't there and you are giving out the energy vibration of what isn't happening, more of your energy, attention and focus!

Q. What do people need to do to correct that?

Every time you catch yourself observing or thinking about what it is that you don't want, take your attention away from it! The easiest way to do this is to say to yourself, "So what is it that I do I want?"

I know it sounds simple, but the truth is that is! When you change your observation from what you don't want to what you do want, your entire vibration changes. When you change your vibration, the results will change too!

Next, for those of you who are scorekeepers, make a conscious effort to begin to notice when you are observing the lack of attracting your ideal mate. If you stop keeping score of what you are not attracting you will stop giving it your attention, energy and focus. Your job is to look for the parts of a relationship or the characteristics of a date that are matching your desire list and give those your full attention! Your vibration will change and the Law of Attraction will bring you more of the same!

Q. What should you do when you get home from a disastrous date?

First of all don't tell anyone! Don't email your friends about it! Don't talk about it with your girlfriends! Don't write about it in your journal. Remember that the Law of Attraction doesn't know if you are remembering something or complaining about it, or worrying about it. The Law of Attraction will simply bring you more of whatever it is you are focusing on!

So, come home from your date…build a list of all the things that you didn't like about your dating experience and convert each item of contrast on your list into another thing that you clearly want.

And then with your new clarity list add it to those things that you would like in an your ideal date.

If it didn't feel right on the first date, it usually will not get any better. Your first impressions are usually the right one so simply move on to the next date, learn fro it and adding new information to your list if necessary each time. You'll know when you've found your ideal mate by how it feels!

The Law of Attraction in relationships is a matter of what type of vibrations you are sending out. Remember that like attracts like. Match up your feelings and emotions with what it is that you want in an ideal relationship and watch how quickly and easily you manifest that ideal mate into your life.

Action is often the missing key in the Law of Attraction. There is a big difference between thought and action. Says Wallace Wattles, “Thought is the creative power, or the impelling force which causes the creative power to act . . . but you must not rely upon thought alone paying no attention to personal action.”

This is where many people get stuck in trying to apply the formula of the Law of Attraction in life. I love the following wise saying about action, ‘A rocking chair rocks back and forth but goes nowhere.’

The same theory applies in the Law of Attraction. You can say all the affirmations you want, and you can have absolute faith that you are going to achieve everything that’s on your vision board, but unless you take some measurable actions steps you are not going to achieve anything because there is no attraction without action.

Perhaps like me you were taught the old model of the Law of Attraction that stated: ASK – BELIEVE – RECEIVE.

The new model is this: ASK – BELIEVE - ACT- RECEIVE.

How then do you know if you are taking efficient action towards your goals and dreams? Here is some wise advise from personal development great Anthony Robbins:

The truth of the matter is that there's nothing you can't accomplish if:
(1) You clearly decide what it is that you're absolutely committed to achieving,
(2) You're willing to take massive action, (3) You notice what's working or not, and (4) You continue to change your approach until you achieve what you want, using whatever life gives you along the way." ~ Anthony Robbins

There is no attraction without action. Take action on your goals and dreams today so that you can reap in the rich rewards of an abundant and prosperous life.

How would you like to learn how to speed up the attraction process? I believe that everyone would benefit and enjoy learning how they can attract their desires a lot faster.

In order to use the Law of Attraction to quickly and efficiently manifest your heart's desire, first it is important that you to understand the Universal Laws of Success and how they work. As a matter of fact your very existence depends on an understanding of how the Universe works. Understanding is power, and understanding how the Universal Laws work is your greatest ally toward an abundant and prosperous life.

The Law of Attraction is one step of the seven Universal Laws of Success. And contained within each of these seven laws are many secrets to allowing these laws to work at its optimal level to bring you your hearts desire.

Here are three things you should master when applying the Law of Attraction to attract what you want into your life faster.

1. Focus. How much focus are you giving to your desire. Focus means paying attention to what it is that you want, and not paying attention to what you dont want. In order to attract what you want faster you must learn the correct way to focus your thoughts even when you are bombarded by your by the responsibilities and obligations of everyday life. The more focus you give to what it is that you want to create the more energy you direct towards its manifestation.

2. An attitude of gratitude. How thankful are you for what you have, and where you currently are in life? Learn to be grateful for where you currently are. Even if your life currently seems difficult and frustrating you have the ability to stop and take notice of all the good that you presently have in your life. What you resist persists, which means that cannot transcend a situation that you resist. The moment you begin to look at your present condition with acceptance and gratitude instead of lack, you are better able to shift and make changes.

3. Continue to learn and to grow. Read, take workshops, attend seminars, go out and experience life. Find as many things as you can which will not only stimulate you but that are fun as well. New knowledge and fun activities bring you into a wider and greater realm of opportunities and possibilities. When you keep yourself in the humdrum of your day to day activities you are stuck in a pattern of the 'same old' - the same old way of thinking, acting, and doing. Break out of your box!

As you continually shift your awareness to those thins in your life that are new, exciting, and fun you expand personally and spiritually. This revs engine of the Law of Attraction and causes you forward momentum towards manifesting your desire.

If you want to attract things faster into your life with the Law of Attraction take some time to understand how the Universal Laws of Success work, and more importantly adopt these tips for faster attraction in your life starting today.

Earl Nightingale (March 12, 1921 - March 25, 1989) was an American motivational speaker and author, known as the "Dean of Personal Development." He was also the co founder of the Nightingale-Conant corporation which has been the world leader in personal development audio programs for over 50 years. He is most known for his audio recording The Strangest Secret In The World which was the first audio recording that sold over a million copies.

The Strangest Secrets underlying message is that "we become what we think about".  Earl stated that he used the title 'The Strangest Secret' because the irony of it all, which is that this truth of why we become, whatever it is we become, is no "secret" at all, and therefore, he felt that it was "strange" that we don't all know about it!

I love listening to this audio recording and do so as much as possible. If you would like a free mp3 of this recording with a prelude by Mark Victor Hansen here is a link where you can download it: http://www.markvictorhansen.com/strangest_secret.php.

Here are 21 Powerful and Thought Provoking Quotes from Earl Nightingale's, The Strangest Secret:

All you have to do is know where you're going. The answers will come to you of their own accord.

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.

Any person who contributes to prosperity must prosper in turn.

Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm.

Everything begins with an idea.

Everything in the world we want to do or get done, we must do with and through people.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether its at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

People are where they are because that is exactly where they really want to be whether they will admit that or not.

Picture yourself in your minds eye as having already achieved this goal. See yourself doing the things you'll be doing when you've reached your goal.

The big thing is that you know what you want.

The biggest mistake that you can make is to believe that you are working for somebody else. Job security is gone. The driving force of a career must come from the individual. Remember: Jobs are owned by the company, you own your career!

The mind moves in the direction of our currently dominant thoughts.

The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.

We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves.

We tend to live up to our expectations.

What's going on in the inside shows on the outside.

Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.

You are, at this moment, standing, right in the middle of your own 'acres of diamonds.'

You'll find boredom where there is the absence of a good idea.

Your problem is to bridge the gap which exists between where you are now and the goal you intend to reach.

Your world is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind.
