In a self-esteem slump? Need to revitalize and supercharge your self-confidence? Your self-confdience is directly linked to your feelings of self worth, or your self-esteem.

Here are 5 proven ways that you can use to boost not only your self-esteem, but also your confidence in your ability to achieve massive success in those areas of your life that are important to you.

1.  Develop Winning Body Language. The science of neurolinguistic programming has proven that there is an inseparable link to your body language and your emotions. Try to slump your shoulders down, hang your head low, and say in a rather depressing voice, "I am really happy today." Those happy feelings just aren't there are they? Now sit up straight, smile, and say in a happy, enthusiastic voice, "My life sucks!" Practice positive body language on a regular basis. Smile and have an impeccable posture. Study and emulate the body language of successful people you admire.

2.  Recall those times when you have achieved your personal best.  Remembering all of your past victories and all the good things that came along with it is a great way to supercharge your self-esteem. It not only reminds you that you have some valuable skills and abilities in areas that you excel at, but also gives you the confidence to keep on, keeping on and to not quit in the pursuit of your goals and dreams.

3.  Act as if.  Act as if you have already received what it is that you want. Imagine yourself having, being, and doing what it is that you want as if you have already received it. Visualization is a powerful tool. Your subconscious mind cannot distinguish between a real experience and one that is vividly imagined. Visualize often and make sure that you use as much sensory detail as possible. Make your visualization's rich with color, sounds, textures, and emotions.

4. Develop a Positive Mindset.  A positive mindset is not only positive thinking. A positive mindset is an attitude of always thinking the best in all situations you encounter. A positive mindset breeds positive thoughts and words which translates into positive action.

5. Have a solid plan of action.  Knowing exactly what you want and how you are going to get there is a short cut to success. A strategy or plan provides you with a workable roadmap that will enable you to quickly get from where you are in your life to where you want to be. A plan of action also gives you instant feedback about your progress, and gives you an incredible feeling of accomplishment as your forward momentum toward your goal increases.

Revitalizing your self-esteem supercharges your self-confidence. Implementing the preceding five methods in your life starting today, and allowing them to become part of your daily success routine, will lead you on the road towards massive success and mega accomplishment; and more importantly will change the quality of your life forever.

Difficult situations are a part of life. You can instantly empower equip yourself for any difficult situation by reminding yourself that it’s not the problem itself that is bringing difficulty, but the way you choose interpret what that problem means to you.

As you continue upon your path of spiritual and personal transformation you realize that it’s necessary to learn how to practice practical spirituality, or spiritual dharma, in everyday life.

Once when walking in an orange grove conversing with my teacher Xian Rinposhe, I asked the following question: “Master how can you practice spiritual dharma when you encounter difficult situations in life?”

Although the answer to my question was from a Buddhist’s perspective, I believe that what he shared with me was priceless, because it gave me a useful roadmap for dealing with any difficult situations that came up in my life.

According to Master Xian the dharma way to handle problems is to: face it, accept it, handle it, and then let it go.

Face It

Facing the problem gives you clarity about what really is occurring or has occurred. It also gives you confidence as you tackle that problem head on. When you see the problem as it is, you view it from the eyes of the present moment.

Accept It

Seeing the situation as it is in the moment then allows you to accept it and to be ready handle it, or to do something about it. When you handle the situation with dharma you let wisdom and compassion guide you to the most effective solution and then you act on that solution.

Let It Go
Once you have acted on the solution you are then able to let it go. Letting it go means that you don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Practicing spiritual dharma in problem solving allows you to be more empowered in life. More importantly it gives you an effective method for quickly dealing with those difficult situations and circumstances that will inevitably show up in life, so that you can quickly release them and moving on towards the bigger and brighter opportunities in life.

'Same ole, same ole'. The same ole sun, the same ole sky, the same ole home, and the same ole routine. Many of find that life is boring. Every day seems the same.

What about you? How do you carry on from day to day? Perhaps like me you have even wondered, why is it that a week doesn't have seven Sundays? Or perhaps you find yourself saying - 'I want to enjoy life. I am getting bored with a schedule that never changes. There is no excitement in my life.'

I bet that if you ask few friends about their life and they will say something similar. Why is it that life is becoming a bore for them and how can they make it exciting?

Can one escape work? Well, I guess you can, but no sensible person can escape it forever. Can a parent stop caring for his/her children? No. Can an executive stop making decisions? No.

Then how can you make life exciting? There must be some way. Well, yes, and I am glad you have asked - there is a way and it is very simple.

Just look out of your window and watch the sky. Do you observe any clouds? Look at them. Look at the different shapes? Who made them? From where did they arrive and where will they go? Look at some flowers in your home. Observe their symmetry. Touch and feel the softness. How lovely! We are surrounded by treasures, but we have no time to look at them. A child's smile can make today a different day than any other day. Try to make a child smile and feel the joy.

Look at the night sky. Observe the stars and think about the distances. Some are so far away that it takes light, hundreds of years to reach us. How many millions of years you will take to walk and reach them? What is beyond them? Observe, think and get excited. Life need never be dull for any of us.

Here is another example. While sitting at your table, have you ever wondered about the wood that was used to make it? Have you thought about the life of the tree? A small seed grew into a gigantic tree.

I find that very exciting. What about the tar on the road? It comes from deep inside the earth, goes to refineries and is then laid on the roads.

How deep must the oil well have been?  How did they locate the oil and what will happen after we finish all the oil?

The world you and I live in is full of objects that can make us think and wonder. It is our attitude that makes our life. If we adopt a child-like attitude towards things, we will bring joy back in life. I am not asking you to give up your work to enjoy life but to just pay attention.

Find time during the day to look at things and wonder. Bring joy back in your life. You can begin right now. Look at your screen. What happens to the text after you shut down your computer? Where does everything go when you close the browser? Life is full of excitement - live it!

Success and inner peace tend to go hand in hand but you may find one before you find the other. Many people struggle early on in life to obtain success in their careers but find that they are extremely taxed and turn to practices and techniques for inner peace as they grow older. Others may throw themselves into spiritual practices when they are young but find that they really need to concentrate more on money and success as they get older.

It doesn't really matter which of these you choose to pursue in the beginning, you will eventually see the importance of both as you grow in wisdom and you will be interested in finding some tips or secrets that can help you to obtain them both.

Here are ten secrets to help you find both success and inner peace in your life.

  • Choose a career or course of study that actually interests you instead of what you think you are "supposed" to be. You will find more happiness and energy to pursue something you really love in life rather than something you think you are "supposed" to do and this will eventually bring both success and inner peace together.

  • Choose your mate very carefully. This will be the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with!m Falling in love is easy but staying in love is very hard. Make sure you are with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with before you go making a lot of promises you can't keep.

  • Take up some hobbies or self-improvements early in life so that you will grow into a person with a wide range of talents and abilities as you get older. Widen your horizons and you will find that life will come much easier to you as you grow.

  • Avoid negative people and people with emotional problems unless you plan to be a therapist or professional healer. More than likely, a person with emotional problems will hurt you before you are able to "help" them. Kindness and good can go a long way but take care of yourself first and foremost.

  • Depend on yourself before you depend on anyone else. You are the best person to trust of anyone you know and learning to depend on yourself will strengthen your character and assure you of having a great friend with you at all times!

  • Find out what your weaknesses are and make an effort to overcome them. Everyone is born with some things that they aren't so good at. Very few people are willing to admit this fact and try to do something about it. Facing your fears can make you a stronger person and someone who you can always depend on.

  • Avoid getting stuck in a bad habit or even worse, and addictive personality. Putting your own spiritual growth at the center of your life will make it possible to avoid the pitfalls of drugs and alcohol and find inner peace much easier.

  • Don't expect yourself to be perfect. Mistakes and weaknesses are what makes you human and someone that people can love. If we all had this game figured out, we wouldn't need each other and that would make for a very lonely time.

  • Helping others is great but help yourself first. If you learn to help yourself without hurting others, you will become the person that others can look toward rather than the person that others take advantage of.

  • Finally, exercise and meditation are two great ways to make good use of your spare time. With a healthy body and healthy mind, you will find success and inner peace right around the corner.

Success and inner peace ultimately begins within. Begin to cultivate the ten secrets of success and inner peace in your life starting today and you will find your life increasingly becoming more and more fulfilled.

Recent events in my life have taught me that the best thing to do in any situation is just to love people. How can I be a better friend, a better daughter, son, brother or sister, etc.? So often we go through life and we don't really take the time to just simply love people.

For example I hop on a bus, I've got all this time to take interest in other people, but yet I just sit by myself, and pass the time, just wondering what others are up to. Most likely someone will come on the bus, and then something about them will set an emotion off inside of me, and I will be quick to judge them. For example: "What is up with her dressing like that?"

If you can relate to me in this way, I've realized that love is the answer.  Love. What is love?

Love is patient, Love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, It is not proud, It is not rude, It is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not celebrate evil, but celebrates with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. Love never fails.

Now if quoting The Storyteller in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 isn't going to do it for you . . . What really is love and what does it look like?

Love is genuine: "Don't just pretend that you love others. Really love them," The Storyteller says.

Love is taking a moment to talk to the person sitting next to you on the bus, taking an honest interest in their life. Love is offering your seat to someone who is standing. Love is saying a prayer for the people riding with you, asking Source to bless them. Love doesn't mean soley a physical response to those around you, such as holding hands or kissing the guy sitting next to you.

I've started to see in my life that as I open up to people with love, that my life began to change in amazing ways. I heard a story about a highschool girl walking home one day from school. She was terribly depressed and down on life. She was ready to commit suicide when she arrived home, as she felt that she has just had enough of this present lifetime.

Suddenly, out of no where, a classmate who had never spoken to her, comes up and asks if he can carry her books, and walk with her. Because of the love expressed by that boy, she didn't go home and commit suicide and instead found new meaning in her life.

We think of saving lives as the stuff of firefighters and police officers. But stop and think - what about that boy? Was he not a lifesaver? Perhaps he didn't boldly enter a burning building or stop a fire, but he did take the time to love.

So, what is keeping you from taking the time to stop and to show love to others more?

My first response was, and the one that I hear from most people was this: I'm too busy, or I love enough already. I would say however, that if you honestly took some time to answer that question you would have the same response as I had which is this - I'm not too busy. I just manage my time badly. I'm riding the bus anyways. Why not love the guy sitting next to me. I love enough already. There is never a time or a place in your life that you will love enough.

Have you ever had one of those days when you woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Perhaps you even tried to get yourself in a better emotional state, but your cranky mood seemed to stick on your shoe like gum on a hot summers day.

At times when you are not feeling your best it is easy to get caught up in your own emotional down spirals and forget how it easy it is to reboot your inner self to feel happier and more optimistic about life. Here are five simple reminders to lift your mood and your spirit, and to help you to feel happier and to get more enjoyment out of your life.

1. Take a walk.
Short daily walks are not only a great way to exercise, but they are also great for the soul. Walking aligns the posture and allows the energy to flow through your spinal cord up to your brain. This can directly affect your mood for the better. Walking out doors also calms the mind and spirit by reacquainting you with the beauty of nature. If you are feeling out of sorts go out for a short stroll.

2. Listen to uplifting music.
This is one of my favorite ways to lift my mood. Uplifting and inspiring Music has the ability to shift your emotional state within seconds. Music is also a great way to motivate yourself out of a slump. Listen to inspiring motion picture soundtracks such as the theme to Chariots of Fire, Superman, or the The Lord of the Rings. There are hundreds of songs and soundtracks that you can choose from and use to instantly hack your mood for the better.

3. Read something inspiring.
Read something that inspires and encourages you. There are several great books, magazines, and online blogs that can help to not only lift your mood, but also educate you by giving you new perspectives and new ways in dealing with life's challenges.

4. Laugh.
Laughter is a sure way to positively lift your emotional state. Look around you for things that are humorous, or watch a comedy show (my favorite are I Love Lucy reruns). Laughter stimulates the the body's secretions of endorphins. Endorphins are often called the happy hormone. They are produced by the pituitary glands and act like opiates to reduce pain and bring about a feeling of euphoria and well-being.

5. Breathing meditation.
Rhythmic breathing creates mental and physical relaxation, and well as quiets and nurtures the spirit. Using the breath as a way to meditate is a simple exercise that you can do anywhere. Sit or lie comfortably with your spine straight, close your eyes and breath in deeply and slowly allowing air to fill your lower abdomen. Notice the flow of air as it enters and exits your nostrils. If a distracted thought comes, just let it go and continue to focus on your breath. Perform this meditation for 5 to 10 minutes and notice how much more centered, and alive you feel afterward.

Each of these five tips are simple and can be easily to performed any where. When you are feeling out of sorts, and emotionally less than your best take the time to apply one or more of these five tips to help you to feel happier, more emotionally centered, and inspired to get more enjoyment out of life.

Are you at a place in your life where you aren't attracting the love you want?  Has your current relationship lost its sizzle? What prevents you from being 'in love'?  How much energy do you exert NOT to love yourself or others? It takes more effort NOT to love, than to love.

Want More Love and Joy?

Universal Law is clear - in order to make room for what you do want, you have to release and let go of the things you don't want. To attract what you want, you will want to let go of everything that keeps you away from Love. Like attracts like.

Unless you want to continue on your current path, you are probably overdue on letting go of the emotional pain of a breakup, past failures, the need for approval, as well as all of the unproductive thoughts that go along for the ride. Thoughts like, "I'm not attractive", "I'm not good enough", or "I will never have a loving relationship" need to be purged.

What You Resist Persists

As long as you continue to resist painful memories and limiting thoughts and beliefs you create separation. You create separation from your true self. You separate yourself from what you are 'love'! And, love remains illusive.

Are you resisting painful experiences from your past? Are you doing everything you can to forget the past? Maybe you think that the more you put your past behind you, the less effect it will have on you.

Do you spend hours contemplating problems? When you focus on your problems, they persist. Your contempt for your problems fuels and strengthens them. The more energy you direct to your problems and pain, you create 'stress' and 'disease'.

Are You Holding on to Pain?

Do you find yourself watching endless hours of TV? Are you trying to escape emotional and spiritual pain by taking drugs or alcohol? Do you overeat to escape the pain? Do you use your computer for hours on end to escape? What distractions take you out of being present with what you are feeling? Stored up pain such as hatred, anger, fear, frustration, apathy, depression etc. become scattered in your body and energetic space.

Releasing Stuck Pain or Resistance

If you have ever been lightheaded from hunger and then felt a sigh of contentment as you fed your body the perfect meal, you've experienced grounding. If you've ever melted into the back rub you got from a trusted person at the end of a stressful day, you've experienced being grounded.

Grounding is a simple process of connecting to the Earth that many people do naturally throughout the course of a day. Anything that brings you to the sense of pleasure and release is grounding. When you are grounded, you feel centered focused, and present.

People connect with their bodies and the Earth in many ways: through touch and body work, through eating, through being out in nature or in water, through contact with animals and through healthy sex. Visualizing, an imaginary grounding cord, is a way to release foreign energy from your body so that it can experience love and joy.

Create a Path for Releasing to Feel Safe and Happy

A grounding cord provides a way to flush out pent up energy and emotion so you can feel good about yourself. It is a way to move energy as it comes towards you, rather than letting it get stuck in the body. When foreign energy gets stuck in the body, it stops the natural flow of energy and might manifest as depression, a migraine headache, aches, pain, or eventually illness.

Effortless Release Every Day for More Love

Grounding works much like a drain or waterfall. When you pour water down the drain you probably never wonder "where did it go?"  Be patient with yourself and have fun with your new toy. Grounding becomes as natural like breathing or smiling with practice.

Consider releasing other people's problems, your worries and anxiety that are weighing you down. Keep it simple and stay amused with yourself. Tune into being in harmony with this process of grounding and letting everything go effortlessly.

Grounding is such an invaluable tool in healing yourself that it's worth taking the time to be sure you can do it easily and comfortably. With practice, you can train yourself to be connected with the earth all of the time. Don't create any limits for yourself on how much you can release without effort.

Grounding Cord Visualization

To revitalize and refresh your body, mind and spirit take the first step by letting go with grounding. It is always the first step to all the subsequent steps in this book. From the base of your spine, make a connection to the healing planet energy to release excess energy and stabilize your body.

  • Close eyes but stay focused.

  • Be aware of own body with your feet flat on the floor.

  • Create a mental image of line of energy between base of spine and the center of the planet.

  • Connect a grounding cord into the center of earth.

  • Secure the grounding cord snugly at the base of your spine.

  • Notice your breathing.

  • Using the gravitational pull of the planet start to release foreign or stuck energy from your body and aura.

Notice how your body feels while grounding. Imagine seeing stuck energy draining out of you.

    Remember to:

  • 1. Start your day with by grounding yourself.
    2. Check in with yourself during the day to see if you have a grounding cord.
    3. Notice what happens in your body as you release using your grounding cord.
    4. Grounding is one way to bring your self back into alignment with your essence - love.

You can attract all the love you want into your life. Practice the following grounding meditation 10-15 minutes each day. The more you practice to better your results.

Whether you have a business that is based out of your home, or if you want to maximize your efforts at your job, there are 3 basic concepts that will ensure your success.

By learning about and embracing these 3 simple and free success techniques you will not only increase your productivity, but you will maintain your sanity as well!

    Scheduling

Yes, you are busy. Everyone is busy these days. From stay at home parents who raise children full-time, all the way up through CEO's of billion dollar companies, everyone is busy. However, everyone has the same 24 hours every day to get things done, so keep that in mind if you have the habit of thinking that your situation is different from anyone else's.

When it comes to scheduling all of the things that are on your daily or weekly to-do list, writing down the master list of things that you want to accomplish is the absolutely critical first step.

The reason why writing down everything on your to-do list is so important is because until you write it down, you probably don't have a true grasp over just how many things you are trying to do every day!

Write down every single thing that you do that takes even 5 minutes of your time. Your list could include, but will hardly be limited to, things such as:

Personal - Sleep schedule, taking breaks, practicing personal hygiene, eating, talking on the phone, dealing with children, spending time with your family, running errands, surfing the Internet, exercising, etc.

Professional - Daily and weekly work tasks, answering email, product development, marketing, research, taking care of your website, tending to customer service, going to meetings, travel time, dealing with other employees, etc.

Once you have your list of things that you need to get done every day or every week, then you need take a REALISTIC look at how much time you have to dedicate to each of those activities.

    Realism

It is critical that you write down how much time you actually spend on each of your tasks. Don't set yourself up for failure by underestimating how time much you truly spend on the things that you do regularly.

For example, if you actually spend 4 hours per day reading and replying to email, but you find that number shocking, don't schedule only 2 hours per day to work on email.

If your travel time is 60 minutes of actual driving, but then also includes a 30 minute window in the morning and again in the evening during which you get back and forth to your car, start up or shut down your work area, chitchat with other employees, etc., then you have to include that in your schedule.

Being realistic about the many things that take up time everyday is the hardest part for most people. We find it difficult to believe that out of an 8 or 10 hour work day, that so much of that time is spent NOT working, so we tend to mentally block out the things that are not productive.

Here is the thing to remember, though: Whether you are being productive or not, the clock is still ticking. You might be amazed at how much time you spend each day NOT accomplishing the tasks that are in front of you.

    Perseverance

Scheduling your time and being realistic about how long it takes to get things done is only the beginning. Realizing that you have many things to do every day and that you could clean up your productivity habits is simply not enough to effect change.

You have to consistently "stick to your guns" and follow through on whatever plans you come up with in order to increase your productivity.

If you are going to leave your house 30 minutes earlier in order to beat the traffic rush, only doing so occasionally is not going to net you any serious amount of additional time over the long term.

Avoiding chatty coworkers in the break room one day, but carrying on a 20 minute conversation with them the next day is only going to serve to cancel out your efforts.

At home, avoiding the home based distractions every Monday and Tuesday, but then slacking on your resolve to be more productive by the end of the week will not allow you the cumulative benefits of your efforts.

Regardless of what systems that you put in place in order to increase your productivity, follow the 3 basic rules that were just mentioned, and you will achieve long term success:

Schedule your time, be realistic about what you have to do each day and how long it takes, and stick to a good plan of action to start increasing your productivity. Not only will these habits increase your productivity, but they will also increase your success in life!

In my experience I have found that many people procrastinate and/or don't carry through at all because they believe that they need to be motivatied to do a thing first in order for them to forge forward. This is the number one common misunderstanding in the science of success and achievement.

In my own life, I used to think that once I received the motivation to get started that I would do it then. One day I realized that this errant attitude caused me to miss out on a lot of wonderful things in life due to inaction. On this particular day a good friend called me to tell me that she had just finished her book manuscript and was in the process of finding an agent. I was happy for her, but as I hung up the telephone I also felt crushed. One of my projects at the time was also a book, but I had yet to sit down and write it. This is when I was introduced to the concept of Action, Ideas, Motivation, or A.I.M. for short.

    The Motivation Cycle

This thought occurred to me "If I only work on this book project while I feel like it will take me forever".  This thought shocked me and that nearly ended my book writing project. Without the stimulating 'high' of motivation the task seemed to enormous for me to tackle. Give up! Give up! Pestered the little voice in my head. I think it is human nature to subconsciously take the easy route, to do the more pleasurable things in life and leave the difficult things to last or just hope they go away. I was torn between wanting to complete the book I had persevered with for so long and quitting all together so I could accomplish something easier.

I suppose my motivation cycle like most others would go from high to low. The high producing a burst of frantic effort and activity followed by a burn out where you are physically, mentally and creatively drained. I found this took a long time to recover from and it had a demotivating effect. The problem was the time when I was not motivated; I was not motivated a lot longer than I was motivated. Stoking up the motivation to write and continue pushing your brain to work after a hard days graft 'at the day job' is very difficult.

Just doing the time filling, wasteful things like watching TV takes its place all to easy.

Several months quickly passed me by, and my mind continued to troubled me about not continuing with the book and then . . .

A Eureka moment came at 4 o'clock one morning when I awoke with a moment of clarity that often follows a good night sleep when the mind does that marvelous peculiarity of unraveling and sorting the problems and discourse of the day.

The real issue was not how to get motivated more. It was what to do when I was not motivated. The question was how can I to motivate myself to work at something for an hour or two following a hard days work?  The answer was simple DON'T!  Don't wait for the motivation, just take some action every day whether you feel like it or not. The action to take is 'do the next task' and don't try to eat elephants whole! Split the project into smaller, bite sized, more manageable and less daunting chunks.

    The Habit of Taking Action

In practice I found to my delight reduced periods of energy sapping high motivation and the inevitable unmotivated down time that followed. It was replaced with a steady state where you are achieving on a regular basis, motivated or not.

To start with, it will take will power and effort, but if you persevere and keep doing it, it will embed in your subconscious and become habitual. You will be able to carry out the task with hardly a conscious thought.

My preference was to come in from the day job, get a drink (green tea!) and then just do the next task, which could be research, writing up, editing, whatever useful task needed to be done (sharpening pencils does not count as a task!!!). Doing your scheduled tasks at the same time of day everyday trains your mind and body to anticipate what is going to happen next and become habit forming.

Once I had acquired this habit of taking action the new pages to the book started to accumulate along with new ideas and inspiration. Seeing the book starting to take shape after so long then motivated me to do more and help reinforce the habit of taking action.

If you want to achieve something just do the next task.  Ideas and motivation do not just happen you need to AIM for them by applying the concept of Action, Ideas, and Motivation in your daily life.

How would you like to learn how to speed up the attraction process? I believe that everyone would benefit and enjoy learning how they can attract their desires a lot faster.

In order to use the Law of Attraction to quickly and efficiently manifest your heart's desire, first it is important that you to understand the Universal Laws of Success and how they work. As a matter of fact your very existence depends on an understanding of how the Universe works. Understanding is power, and understanding how the Universal Laws work is your greatest ally toward an abundant and prosperous life.

The Law of Attraction is one step of the seven Universal Laws of Success. And contained within each of these seven laws are many secrets to allowing these laws to work at its optimal level to bring you your hearts desire.

Here are three things you should master when applying the Law of Attraction to attract what you want into your life faster.

    1. Focus. How much focus are you giving to your desire. Focus means paying attention to what it is that you want, and not paying attention to what you dont want. In order to attract what you want faster you must learn the correct way to focus your thoughts even when you are bombarded by your by the responsibilities and obligations of everyday life. The more focus you give to what it is that you want to create the more energy you direct towards its manifestation.

    2. An attitude of gratitude. How thankful are you for what you have, and where you currently are in life? Learn to be grateful for where you currently are. Even if your life currently seems difficult and frustrating you have the ability to stop and take notice of all the good that you presently have in your life. What you resist persists, which means that cannot transcend a situation that you resist. The moment you begin to look at your present condition with acceptance and gratitude instead of lack, you are better able to shift and make changes.

    3. Continue to learn and to grow. Read, take workshops, attend seminars, go out and experience life. Find as many things as you can which will not only stimulate you but that are fun as well. New knowledge and fun activities bring you into a wider and greater realm of opportunities and possibilities. When you keep yourself in the humdrum of your day to day activities you are stuck in a pattern of the 'same old' - the same old way of thinking, acting, and doing. Break out of your box!

As you continually shift your awareness to those thins in your life that are new, exciting, and fun you expand personally and spiritually. This revs engine of the Law of Attraction and causes you forward momentum towards manifesting your desire.

If you want to attract things faster into your life with the Law of Attraction take some time to understand how the Universal Laws of Success work, and more importantly adopt these tips for faster attraction in your life starting today.

What is a bucket list?  A 'bucket list' is a list of all the things you would like to achieve or experience before you die. A bucket list is really a list of your lifetime goals.

A list of your lifetime goals helps you to not only determine your unique wants and dreams, but it also helps you to define your overall life purpose.

Clearly knowing what you want is the key in the ignition of achievement. It starts the engine of success and accomplishment and creates momentum. Once you know exactly what you want to do and accomplish in life you need to create some small daily rituals that translate in action.

Creating a bucket list should be a fun and motivating project. Here are some tips that will help you to create your own bucket list.

Get out a notebook and a pen, or open up a new document in your word processor. Begin by writing down your answers to the following questions. Write down the first thing that pops into your mind.

If I knew I was going to die tomorrow what one thing would I do before I died?
What have I always wanted to do but have not done yet?
If I didn't have to worry about time money what things would I be doing?
What countries, places or locations do I want to visit?
What are my biggest goals and aspirations?
What people would I like to meet?
What do I want to achievement?
What experiences do I want to have / feel?
What special moments you would I want to witness?
What would I like to say or do with those people important to me. People I love, my family, my friends?
What do I want to achieve in these different areas: Social, Love, Family, Career, Finance, Health Spiritual?
What things can I do that would bring my life the greatest meaning and personal satisfaction?

Write down as many things that come to your mind. Personal development teacher and author Jim Rohn suggest coming up with 100 things on your list. If you cant think of 100 things right away dont worry. You can add things to your list at a later date as they come to you.

Once you have made your list the next thing you need to do is to pick ten things that currently inspire you most and attach a deadline to them, and write down what you need to make it happen. If for example one of your goals is to go on a sailing excursion in Hawaii, you might need to start saving up some money for the trip and also start investigating sail boat charters, airfare, and hotel accommodations.

Once you have completed an item on your list cross it off and celebrate! Read your list often to see the things that you have accomplished and to get excited about what is to come. Add and subtract things to your list as you seem appropriate.

Creating a bucket list is a great way to get excited about life and living it. You dont have to wait until you are on your death bed to do and experience the best out of life. Write your list today and live a life of passion without regret.

I live in Southern California so when I came across the "traffic jam meditation" I not only chuckled, but I also felt a sense of encouragement. Traffic jams are a very easy way to loose your peace and composure.

The following Traffic Jam Meditation is an excerpt from the ebook Hello-With Love, and Other Meditations, by Venerable Vissuddhacara. His insights, and the meditation are truly precious.

"When you are caught in a traffic jam, instead of getting uptight and tense, apply mindfulness. Be aware of your mind and body. Observe the sensations in the body. Notice your breath - both in and out. Be aware of your sitting posture, feel the contact between buttocks and seat, and between back and back-rest. Sensations of warmth and pressure in those areas of contact can be felt and noted.

Feel your hands on your steering wheel. Observe your mind, too, and notice its tense, edgy, impatient, agitated, disturbed, or whatever state. You'll be surprised that such simple awareness can produce a calming effect. You'll feel a little bit more relax, a little less tense. Then, if you maintain your mindfulness, observing say your in-breath and out-breath, you'll loosen up further and will relax even more.

Then you can also radiate loving-kindness which you must remember is something you can practise any time anywhere. So here in the traffic jam, you can radiate thoughts of goodwill to all around you. You can think any wholesome thoughts you like such as, "May all beings be happy. May they be peaceful. May they be healthy. May they be wise, enlightened, free from suffering, live in peace and harmony, free from such traffic jams, not get angry, and so on."

You can keep repeating and radiating such thoughts to all those people who are caught in the traffic jam, to all those people around you out there, and to the passengers that may be in your car. And to anybody else you may think of, such as your loved ones or friends. Or just to all beings at large throughout the whole universe. And, of course, you can also direct those thoughts to yourself, wishing the same for yourself."

    Traffic Jam Meditation

    "Keeping cool and radiating love:
May all those who are caught,
like me, in this jam be happy.
May they keep cool and not get angry.
May all beings be happy and live in peace & harmony."

Last week I had the opportunity to watch the motion picture The Green Lantern. The movie portrayed a regular human being who overcame not only insurmountable challenges, but also his fears and biases. This ultimately caused him to become a super hero equipped with superhuman powers from a sacred ring to overcome evil.

As I left the movie and walked through the parking lot to my car I saw a man wearing a black t-shirt with with the words "Super Hero Dad" written on it in blazing white ink. It got me thinking about all the people in my own life who reached the status of hero or heroine to me.

This caused me to wonder what characteristics and attitudes each of these people had in common. More importantly, I began to wonder how I could apply these characteristics into my life as well to become a super hero of life.

You don't need a sacred ring to become a super hero of life. Here are three super hero traits you can begin to apply in your life starting today.

Courage. Super hero's are a master at facing and overcoming challenges. Many people out of fear back away from challenge. Fear is a natural emotion when facing new unknown situations in life. It occurs most often when you step outside our comfort zone and face what may come with strong resolve. The sage advice is to feel that fear and move forward anyway. If you want to achieve great things in life, and to be a super hero to yourself and others, you must realize that if you want effective results there will come a time when you must face your deepest fears and reach outside your current fears and biases. Dont ignore your fears, take them for what they are - imagined probablities of what you think may occur. Be brave. Face your fears, and confidently move forward towards what it is you want or must do.

Optimism. Think in term of the positives. Super heros always have a positive outlook on their life and life circumstances. They realize that they have a 50/50 chance of being negative or positive and choose the latter. Train yourself to be optimistic in all areas of your life. Speak and act positively, and hang around with optimistic people. Listen and read positive uplifiting CD's and books. Attend life enriching seminars and workshops Your attitude gages what action you will take in life.

Self-determination. Self-determination means to take responsibility for the course of your life. Super heros take responsibility for not only their actions and attitudes, but also in creating the life of their dreams. They know exactly where they will be in 5, 10, 15, and 20 years from now. Take control of your life by taking the time to get clear about what you want out of life and make a plan of action to make it happen. Dont let real or perceived limitations keep you from achieving your best in life.

There is a super hero inside of all of us just waiting to get out. Sometimes, it takes an unexpected event to help you to bring that hero out. And sometimes, other people through a loving and patient attitude help you to see that hero in yourself.

You deserve to become a super hero of life! Take some time to develop the inner qualities of a super hero. Be courageous, be positive, and talk control of the reigns of your life so you can soar upwards and onwards towards new heights of success achievement starting today.

A survey (by the University of Chicago) suggested that those who relish challenge are more likely to live up to 10 years longer than those who spend their lives inhibited by timidity.

Trying to realize our ambitions, even if we don't always meet them, is preferable to not having the courage or motivation to take the risk. So not making any resolutions because we fear that we'll break them is having a defeatist attitude, as we allow procrastination to become an insidious habit which stops us from leading more fulfilling lives.

The following offers 10 ways to kick the procrastination habit:

    1. Personal values development.

Take the time to find out what you really want in life, what your personal values are. Do you want more time, more money, better health, greater self esteem and confidence, more fulfilling relationships, a different career, set up a business? When we procrastinate it's often because what we are planning to do is not really aligned with what we truly want. We may be scared of our skills (or perceived lack of) or fear ridicule from others.

    2. Make health and high energy levels a priority.
Without good health we are less likely to have the energy and dynamism needed to make positive changes in our lives and it's easier (and necessary if you're very ill) to procrastinate. So ensure that you have a nourishing diet, sleep well, exercise and meditate. Incidentally, it is thought that regular meditation helps delay the worst effects of the aging process.

    3. Visualize your life without procrastination.
See and feel the benefits in your life if you didn't procrastinate. What could you do and achieve? Begin to act as if you're not a procrastinator. Write down, draw, imagine your life as a film. Use affirmations to help you.

    4. Banish the Gremlin.
That little voice which runs on auto in your head - that dismisses any idea that you might have. It says things like "I'm not in the mood" "I don't have time" "I can't do this". Stop running on auto, replace the "should's" "oughts" "have tos" with "want to" "desire". You have a choice. Acknowledge your choices and banish the Gremlin. Again, using affirmations can help you replace the Gremlin with more positive alternatives.

    5. Over commitment.
Saying "yes" to everything - often leaves you feeling tired and without the energy to focus on what is most important to you. This leads to procrastination as projects and tasks are dropped. Identify what is most important to you and only focus on those areas which will make the biggest difference to your life. It will enhance your focus and motivation.

    6. Set personal and professional goals.
It's hard to motivate yourself when you don't have a good idea of what you want to accomplish. So when setting goals think about what you want to achieve in the short term and long term. Techniques for doing so include the SMART strategy. S = specific M = measurable A= Action R = Realistic T = Time based. Use goal setting software to help you in goal planning and setting.

    7. Prioritize Your Goals.
Develop a plan or schedule to help you reach your goals. In doing so you will begin to identify whether some elements need to be included or enhanced or dropped completely. Also remember to be flexible, revisit your goals regularly and modify or drop if appropriate. Just because a goal is written down doesn't mean that it is set in stone!

    8. Divide and conquer.
Once you've prioritized your goals, divide them into smaller chunks. Sometimes we procrastinate because a project seems really large that the scale of it overwhelms us and puts us into a temporary form of paralysis - you don't know where to start, so you don't start at all! Approach each project - especially large ones - on a step by step basis.

    9. Reward yourself.
Once you start to complete tasks, reward yourself by giving yourself something that you want. So instead of seeing a film before you complete a task, see it afterward and make it a reward for you.

    10. Just get started.
No excuses. Don't wait until you're "in the mood". The mood never comes! It is a clever camouflage and a delaying tactic. What you resist persists! Start with what is easiest, so that you experience immediate success, which will give you the fuel and motivation to upgrade and take on larger projects.

Do any of the above and you'll be well on your way to Kicking the Procrastination Habit. And if you're procrastinating over doing any of the above, then remember that life is the biggest deadline of all!

Earl Nightingale (March 12, 1921 - March 25, 1989) was an American motivational speaker and author, known as the "Dean of Personal Development." He was also the co founder of the Nightingale-Conant corporation which has been the world leader in personal development audio programs for over 50 years. He is most known for his audio recording The Strangest Secret In The World which was the first audio recording that sold over a million copies.

The Strangest Secrets underlying message is that "we become what we think about".  Earl stated that he used the title 'The Strangest Secret' because the irony of it all, which is that this truth of why we become, whatever it is we become, is no "secret" at all, and therefore, he felt that it was "strange" that we don't all know about it!

I love listening to this audio recording and do so as much as possible. If you would like a free mp3 of this recording with a prelude by Mark Victor Hansen here is a link where you can download it: http://www.markvictorhansen.com/strangest_secret.php.

Here are 21 Powerful and Thought Provoking Quotes from Earl Nightingale's, The Strangest Secret:

All you have to do is know where you're going. The answers will come to you of their own accord.

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.

Any person who contributes to prosperity must prosper in turn.

Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm.

    Everything begins with an idea.

Everything in the world we want to do or get done, we must do with and through people.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether its at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

People are where they are because that is exactly where they really want to be whether they will admit that or not.

Picture yourself in your minds eye as having already achieved this goal. See yourself doing the things you'll be doing when you've reached your goal.

The big thing is that you know what you want.

The biggest mistake that you can make is to believe that you are working for somebody else. Job security is gone. The driving force of a career must come from the individual. Remember: Jobs are owned by the company, you own your career!

The mind moves in the direction of our currently dominant thoughts.

The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.

We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves.

We tend to live up to our expectations.

What's going on in the inside shows on the outside.

Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.

You are, at this moment, standing, right in the middle of your own 'acres of diamonds.'

You'll find boredom where there is the absence of a good idea.

Your problem is to bridge the gap which exists between where you are now and the goal you intend to reach.

Your world is a living expression of how you are using and have used your mind.

"Now is the only time. How we relate to it creates the future. In other words, if we are going to be more cheerful in the future, it's because of our aspiration and exertion to be cheerful in the present. What we do accumulates; the future is the result of what we do right now." ~ Pema Chodran
"Do not carry the burden of the past; do not live in the future. The only important thing is that one lives in the present authentically and fully. Whatever your current life is, be the most you can be by living in the moment." ~ Chan Chih
[The following insightful piece of wisdom was sent to me to share on my blog post from my teacher Chetsang Xian Rinposhe.  Enjoy, and thanks Master Xian . . .  ]

There are two days in every week, about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone forever.

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance; Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born.

This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad, it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring. Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.

The New Year is finally upon us. Let me ask you a question. How did you do last year?  If you made some goals for yourself this past year, did you achieve them?  If you are like most people you probably answered no. Unfortunately many people make the choice of spending their same 365 days per year in survival mode. They are content in maintaing the status quo.

This year why don't you rock the boat?  Instead of living the same old 24/7 life routine, why don't you choose to have the best year of your life?

In this article I am going to show you 3 proven steps on how you can make New Year resolutions that rock! These steps will not only make your New Year pay off big for you, but can also turn your life around in 10 minutes or less.

Before I share with you this simple system for goals setting success, here is what you need: a timer, a pencil or pen, some paper, and an open mind.

Step 1:  Set your timer for 30 seconds. Now go! Write down your number one goal for this upcoming year in each of the following areas, Health and Fitness, Finances, and Relationship. When your five minutes is up stop! Put down your pen or pencil and move on to the next step..

Before you move on to step number two take a look at the three goals you have written down. If you would have achieved those three goals last year would it have been your best year ever?  If your answer is no then I suggest that you go back and repeat step one an choose bigger and better goals that will excite you and inspire you carry through and take action.

In only 30 seconds you were able to start your New Year off with actual clear targets that will make this year rock! Having specific targets to shoot for gives you tons of self-confidence and motivation by giving you a clear picture of what it is that you want to achieve, and knowing what it is that you want to have, be, or do, is the first step towards success and achievement.

Step 2:  Set your timer for timer for 5 minutes. Take a look at each of your three goals and ask yourself the following question: What do I need to do to make this happen within one year? If for some reason you can not complete your of your 3 goals in a particular area, chunk them down, or break them up into items that you can complete in one year. Go! Write your answers down. What you are essentially doing is creating a road map for yourself that will help you get from where you are to where you want to be. When your five minutes is up, stop! Put your pen or pencil down and move on to step three.

Step 3:  Set your timer for 4 minutes. Pick three people who you trust that can be your accountability partners. Choose people that will not only inspire you to keep going, but also those who will let you know when you are performing at less than your best. Accountability partners help to keep you honest and on track. Statistics have proven that goal setters with accountability partners are 80% more likely to achieve their goals then goal setters without. Choose one person for each goal. Next email, text, or call this person and let them know that you would like them to assist you this year in achieving your goals by holding you accountable to following through on your plan of action. Update your accountability partners regularly on progress.

Congratulations - you took less than ten minutes to improve the quality of your life this upcoming year. Setting a timer forces your subconscious mind to cut through all the minutia and helps you to really focus in on whats important to you. It prevents you from a thought process called mental looping and prevents you from second guessing yourself.

Consistently take action toward your 3 goals. Remember that action builds up momentum and that forward momentum equates into success and achievement. Have fun achieving, and best of luck in creating your best year ever!
